National Veterans Wheelchair Games

National Veterans Wheelchair Games worlds largest annual wheelchair sports event for veterans with spinal cord injuries amputations neurological conditions and other mobility impairments. Co-presented by VA and Paralyzed Veterans of America. Week-long competition features 19 sports including basketball swimming track and field archery bowling table tennis and power soccer. Open to all eligible veterans who use wheelchairs for athletic competition. Events calibrated by age gender and disability classification ensuring fair competition. Novice and exhibition events welcome first-time participants. Beyond competition promotes rehabilitation independence and camaraderie. All expenses including travel lodging meals and equipment provided at no cost. Annual event rotates host cities nationwide. Over 600 veterans participate annually.
