Veteran Readiness and Employment VR&E

Veteran Readiness and Employment VRE formerly Vocational Rehabilitation provides services helping veterans with service-connected disabilities prepare for find and maintain suitable employment. Five support tracks available Reemployment Rapid Access to Employment Employment Through Long-Term Services Self-Employment and Independent Living. Services include comprehensive evaluation vocational counseling education and training job placement assistance resume development interview skills and assistive technology. Special Employer Incentives and Non-Paid Work Experience programs provide hands-on training. Subsistence allowance paid during training. Program covers tuition fees books supplies and equipment. Self-employment track helps veterans start businesses. Independent living services for severely disabled veterans unable to work. Eligibility requires 10% or higher service-connected disability rating and employment handicap determination.
